One of our favorite places to visit is north about 45 minutes in Franklin. The Lotz House is a civil war house filled with period antiques, knowledgeable staff and a gift shop. It is on the site of the battle of Franklin and across the street from the Carter house. Very interesting. It is also the headquarters for our favorite appraisers, J.T. and Sue Thompson.
